The Mountain View Grand Celebration of Amber & Anthony

How did you two meet?
At a 7/11 around 1am in the morning. I (bride) did something I’d never done and boldy walked up to him and told him he had the most beautiful blue eyes he’d ever seen. He asked me to come over, and I said no, you werid stranger (hahaha). We exchanged numbers and talked for about a month before we went out for a beer and he lured me over after with his puppy, Hank, now our little baby of 7 years old.
However, if you ask the groom with his wild imagination, he saw me “sweating over the taquitos and there has never been a sexier sight.”
Why did you choose to get married at the location that you did?
When we first started dating we randomly bought a Groupon for the Mountain View Grand and spent a weekend there. We hiked the mountains, enjoyed the beauty of the grand hotel and took in the breath taking mountain views. We went there again for our 1 year dating anniversary. Fall was always our time of the year, and so I (the
bride) always envisioned getting married there. Not only did we share special moments from early on in our relationship there, but we have a year round love for the mountains. And, it’s quintessentially New Hampshire, the place that brought us together. So it just kind of made perfect sense.
Were there any happy surprises that happened at the wedding?
Every moment felt like a happy surprise to me (the bride), because it really went off so flawlessly and we had the unbelievable support and hard work of our family, friends and vendors. But, topping that list was the lightly breezy, high of 70 degree day and sunny skies and peak foliage colors (past peak season) that showed up on our late October day in the Mountains of Northern New Hampshire. You just
CANNOT plan that. And, the way that our vows flowed together so perfectly when neither one of us knew what we were writing. So perfectly that the Brides sister asked if we wrote them together (we had no idea we were both going to talk about our little nautical-life themes!)
What moment sticks out to you above all of the others from the wedding?
For the bride: standing in the entranceway waiting to enter the reception. I felt overwhelmingly loved with my new husband by my side and all my closest family and friends in front of me, getting announced and dancing into the reception with exceptionally entertaining dance moves.
For the groom: Our vows.
Now that the wedding is over, what are you going to do with all of your free time?!
Work, work, work! (boo) But, make sure we spend lots of time strapped in to our snowboards at various mountains, continue to have fantastic and sometimes loud nights with family and friends, which includes of course Sunday River mountainside dates with Molly Anne Photography, Catherine Threlkeld Photography, and
Airglows very own Nora McCormack, quite nights together binging awesome new shows (it’s currently Black Mirror), and, with any luck, buy a house and plan an awesome beachy one year anniversary trip (are you reading this, Anthony?).
